"Bush Film Festival launch Inspirational"

About the Bush Film Festival

The 2008 Mildura Bush Film Festival was a great success, inspiring over 50 local film makers, photographers and actors to get their creative juices flowing for the festival.

The 2009 Bush Film festival is set to expand greatly being incorporated into the Mildura and Wentworth Art Festival and will also be streamed out live on the Internet for those who cant make it.

A new category this year for students allows them to showcase the works that they may have created in school, or any work they may have put together themselves. There is a lot of great young talent out there and this is the perfect way to air their work publicly.

Sound Trap's Musical Maestro Chris Rogers said "we are very excited to again be part of the festival, and are pleased to continue Sound Trap's sponsorship of the "best original film score."

WIN television’s Mildura manager Brodie Cogler said “our involvement in 2008 was certainly something completely out of left field for us, however we are always looking for new opportunities to unearth talent and underpin our involvement in community events and we were very happy with the result last year”, he said “our long term commitment is now firmly in place”.

The Bush Film Festival is a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their talents and build creative networks within a wide variety of disciplines.

The Bush Film Festival will be held on 15th March 2009 in the Mildura city heart, with a showcase of short films and photographs from budding artists and students. Their works will be broadcast publicly on a giant 40 square metre WIN TV to a live audience and streamed out on the net.
