ENTRY TO BUSH FILM FESTIVAL 2010 IS NOW OPEN!

Bush Film Festival is not just about showing films – it’s about making them!  And Bush Film Festival  2010 WE’VE BROUGHT DOWN THE BARRIERS SO YOU CAN TELL US A STORY!

What sort of story?  You decide!  It can be funny, sad, melancholy, hysterical.  It can be about a fictional character, about you, your neighbour, your neighbours dog, a rock, a flower, a truck, a town.  It can be a story of redemption, of conquering the odds, of just living life.  Any story.  TELL US THE STORY THAT YOU WANT TO TELL! Just make sure it includes this years signature item!

Each year we announce a Signature Item which must be included in all entries in all categories in some way.  This ensures that each entry is made for this years festival.

This years Bush Film Festival Signature Item (BSI) is SMOKE.

SHORT FILM

There are just a few small guidelines to follow when entering your short film:

-  Your film must be made specifically for Bush Film Festival 2010
-  Bush Film Festival must be it’s first public screening
-  Your film must be no longer than 7 minutes
-  It must contain the 2010 BSI – SMOKE

PHOTOGRAPHY

There are just a few small guidelines you must follow when entering your photographs:
-  2 photos are submitted
-  Each photo must have had no prior public screenings,
-  One photo must include the 2010 BSI – SMOKE
-  Second photo must reference to “life in the bush”

YOUTH MOBILE MOVIE

This section is part of Bush Film Fest 2010’s Breaking Down the Barriers so you can TELL US A STORY!

Here’s the guts of it –use a mobile phone to capture your entry, keep it shorter than 2  mintues, upload it to YouTube and let us know about it ASAP! There’s a couple extra guidelines and if your entry meets them we’ll add it to the Bush Film Festival 2010 “Youth Mobile Movie” YouTube Channel.  People can watch it, rate it, comment on it, and the best ones will be shown on the big night – 7th March 2010!

There’ll be awards for highest rated and most views online, as well as awards from our judging panel. So the earlier your film is up, the more votes it can get!
